"as cold than", "as fast than" are not correct. "FASTER THAN" or "AS FAST AS" are correct. "AS COLD AS THE LAST ONE" would be correct.

I've actually found the sentence you refer to, and it's part of a correction exercise. Basically, "as cold than" is definitely incorrect and should be corrected to read, "as cold as".
We never say, "as ____ than". It simply makes no sense.

I have never heard of as fast than, it is not correct, as fast as, as slow as, faster than, slower than.
