Please help me, what does it mean - "twelve-oh-five"? How to write it correctly?Thank you.

Hi Svetlana Write it as 12:05 Many American have adopted the use of the alphabet letter "o" (OH) for the number, ZERO in speaking. In years, Americans refer to 1905 the year, as "Ninteen OH Five" Phone numbers may be referred as 360-270-1503 which reads: "Three---Six----OH-----Two---Seven----OH----Fifteen---OH---Three" Of course, in English we are supposed to say ZERO; but try telling that to Americans. They do what they want, and convention is a difficult reality to object to. .

"Twelve-oh-five" is how we pronounce "12:05". It's the time.

All English speakers use this convention by the way. It's not just Americans.
