fixed myself I can't find the meaning of "to fix myself" in the dictionary. What does it mean? Yesterday I fixed myself a heavy breakfast. Thank you very much Regards

In your sentence "fixed" means "prepared". I prepared breakfast for myself. See definition 6 here: http://www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/fix_1 In Hannes' examples, "fixed" means "repaired".

The verb "to fix" has different meanings. In your sentence, it means "to prepare" / "to make". "I fixed myself a breakfast." = "I made a breakfast for myself." In Hannes' examples, "to fix" means "to repair". Also, notice, he uses "by myself" not "for myself".

I come from Australia and we don't use that term. I'm pretty sure it's an American expression (I've heard it on TV shows lol).

100% correct!! Other uses of " fixed it" I fixed the broken fence myself. I fixed the car myself. I fixed the hole in the roof myself. Well done with your English! You FIXED your sentence yourself! Good luck with your English!!! Teacher Hannes Fouche
