On Vs About? Hi! 1- I'd like to know what the difference is between saying "This is a book on flowers" and "This book is about flowers" ? 2- In this sentence "The professor gave a intersting talk on his book", can I replace ON with ABOUT? and what the difference in the meaning would be? Thank you in advance

Regarding both the questions as Britta said with 1 both can used and it is acceptable. On question 2 you had spelt "interesting" wrong. Again both can used with this question aswell. I guess "about the book" instead of "on the book" is a more formal way of saying it.

Hello! About and On in this case have the same meaning, you can use either one. Although "about" would be the more proper word to use. Let me know if you still need help with this question!
