his birthday is nearing? Is there any difference between 'His birrhday is coming (up) soon' and 'His birthday is nearing'. Which one is used more popularly? If I want to describe a person who can adapt to all kinds of music or can easily accept different kinds of food even the food is not good, what are the best words to use? Like a person who likes sweet food, we say him 'he has a sweet tooth'.

Tom and Roxanne have already provided some good answers so I don't need to say much. However, I would like to add that for someone who likes a lot of different styles of music is often described in this way: "He is very eclectic in his musical tastes" "I am eclectic in my music choices" The word "eclectic" is not used very often in daily speech other than this context, and it basically means "selecting or choosing from different sources"

It should be "his birthday is coming soon" or "his birthday is near" Sorry I don't know exactly how to describe it in such a way you would want to hear. But I would personally would say it in those terms. Or maybe I could use "He's not choosy in terms of food or music."

His birthday is coming up soon. His birthday is near. His birthday is coming up soon is way more popular. He is easy to please. (Best) Also: There is nothing he does not like. He's not picky. Hope this helps, Tom
