Is Vasikaran/வசீகரன் pure Tamil word? Please let me know whether Vasikaran/வசீகரன் pure Tamil word or not. And I need the meaning too. Thanks in Advance.

Yes, of course. The root word is வயம்-வசம் meaning possession. Hence, வசீகரம் in the sense depicts the capacity to possess something. And வசீகரன் means a person capable of possessing something... Speaking of the appearence, It denotes the beauty in appearence of a person to possess other minds.

Thanks Vetri, I completely agree with you that Vaseekaran is pure Tamil. But, I have noticed the same word is articulated as Sanskrit in some website. You can google it to find the website. But totally I disagree with the website. Let me know your thought on this.

Hmm. There is a serious discussion. Some are saying that sanskrit - samaskrutham- sama skrutham- sama krutham- meaning the same writing... And they conclude that most Sanskrit words are transliterated rather than translation. But, it's a historical event so that imaginations are not possible. :(
