There's also the verb 'divertir', which means 'to entertain', and can be used passively (divertir-se) to mean someone is having fun. for instance, when in english you would say
i'm having fun
in spanish it would be
me estoy divirtiendo
conjugated as follows
yo me divierto
el/ella se divierte
ellos/ellas se divierten
nosotros nos divertimos
ustedes se divierten

Well, Fun is a noun, so it means in spanish "Diversión" ans Funny would be an adjective, so it means "Divertido". Yo use fun, when it is the object that make the action in spanish. And you use "divertido" in spanish with To Be verb (Ser o Estar in spanish).

funny = 'chistoso'(M), 'chistosa' (F), like a comediant, joke, movies, etc. You may also have fun without laughing, like going out to parties, playing sports, travelling, etc.
