Verbs: faint & occur
I am familar with sentences like :
I fainted after the party.
The accident occurred last night.
However, is it possible to say :
I fainted him with my punch.
I occurred the incident last night.
Both sound little off to me but I'm not sure. It's be nice if someone can explain why these sentences are wrong (if they are wrong). Thank you in advance :)

Both are incorrect.
You can say:
"I caused him to faint when I punched him"
"My punch caused him to faint."
"I caused the incident to occur last night."
"Faint" and "occur" are both intransitive verbs, so they can't have direct objects. http://www.chompchomp.com/terms/intransitiveverb.htm

Faint and occur are intransitive verbs. They refer to the subject. They cannot take direct objects.
- You can faint, but you cannot faint someone.
- An event can occur but it cannot occur something else.

아니요, 부적절한 쓰임새입니다. occur과 faint 둘 다 타동사가 아니라 자동사니깐요. ^^ 이외에 특별한 이유는 없습니다.
