stay on my good side...?! i don't quite understand the meaning when people say "you'd better stay on my good side". what is stay on sb's good side anyway? and is there a "stay on bad side"??

It's a threat. It's like saying "don't mess with me" or "be nice to me, or you will have trouble" or the person will be mean. English doesn't have a "stay on my bad side"

When someone says "you better stay on my good side". Its actually a warning to say you must not do anything to irritate or upset me and do not make me angry.
