TURKISH WORD "ASLAN" CORRECT PRONUNCIATION? Dear Friends, Could you help, Yesterday I and my roommate watched "The Chronicles of Narnia: The lion, the witch and the wardrobe" movie of 2005. There is a Lion called Aslan, Aslan in a name taken by C.S. Lewis from Turkic language family during his journey in Ottoman Empire and the name "Aslan" means "a lion". (quite widespread name in this language family) The question is how to pronounce "Aslan" correctly, as they have the name Aslan in Tatar language which is also in Turkic language family and the stress is on the second syllable like 'aslAn' . But in Russian voicing of the abovesaid movie they call the lion 'Aslan' - the stress in on the first syllable. So please help tp determine what word stress here is correct? Aslan or aslAn?
