has been dedicated v.s. has dedicated
Since then, he "has been dedicated" to helping the poor. And he’ll keep on working for his ideals all his life.
Why can't it be "had dedicated"? What about "has dedicated"?
To say he has/had dedicated you need to specify a subject or what he has dedicated. For example, he has dedicated time/food/etc to helping the poor. But if you say he has been dedicated, then the word time is assumed.
