Is it correct to say "We will update you timely?" My colleague just sent an email to our client saying "We will update you timely". I have doubt if this is correct or not. I know the expression "in a timely matter". In this case i would have said "We will keep you updated", but probably she wanted to say that she would soon send updates to the client... Thanks

"We will update you in a timely manner." "We will keep you updated." Both are very natural sounding in American English.

I agree with Bruce. She could also say, "We will update you soon," if that is what she means.

Two other options are: We will update you when we are in a position to do so or, if its very formal, we will update you timeously.
