explain how time on calendar works. Is it teacher's time or my time listed on calendar?

When you see a teachers calendar it will be in your timezone. Just select the time you prefer the time that is best for you. The teachers will specify their time in their local time and the italki system will do the calculations for all the time zones. So select your lesson time and wait for teachers to say yes and then login about 5 to 2 minutes earlier your time, to allow for connection delays. This is actually one bit of programming that italki does very well.

Italki shows you, the student, your own, local time for your lesson. At the same time, it shows the same lesson to the teacher using the teacher's own, local time! Yes, your teacher often sees something different from what you see. Nobody needs to worry about converting times. Italki does that for you. And it knows about time changes in countries that make them. You just use your own time to schedule lessons. Do not try to figure out in your head what time it is for your teacher. Italki usually does this automatically. I don't know if Italki knows that daylight time is not observed in Arizona, though! If there's an issue, you can set your time zone manually in your Profile. Also, near the time it will show something like (UTC-05:00) which means that it is showing you UTC minus five hours. You can check somewhere--I use timeanddate.com--and verify that it's correct.

Assuming your time zone is correctly set in your italki profile, the calendar shows the time slots that your teacher is available, in your local time. For example, I'm in New York, which is 1 hour ahead of Mexico City. If a tutor/teacher in Mexico City listed 12 noon to 6pm as their available time, I would see 1pm to 7pm in my calendar.
