Typing in Cyrillic alphabet I'm a beginning Russian student and am quickly realizing that I need to learn to type on a Cyrillic keyboard in order to be effective in learning online/texting/etc. What is the best online app/site out there that can help me learn?

Somewhere on your settings is a keyboard section, to change the alphabet your keyboard types in. Mine is Settings/Time and Language/ Language/ Preferred Language. I have a keyboard for Russian as well as one for Australian English, and one for US English. I think it only affects SpellCheck. I toggle between Russ and English and there might be a toggle button, or I click the Eng tab at the bottom RHS of the screen. On Yandex, you can type in (input) in either the above method, or you can click their keyboard to type in to translate: https://translate.yandex.com/?lang=ru-en

Алёнка simulator was a good one, but it was long ago, and now it is working only on Windows XP or earlier versions. Try ratatype.ru.

If I'm using a different computer (I also have a toggle for Russian keyboard on mine), I go straight to Google Translate and use the keyboard there. The other bonus with Google Translate is that if you're translating from Russian for example, you can simply speak in Russian and Google will detect your spoken phrases as Russian.
