THE POWER OF EXPOSURE I have been a professional language teacher for almost sixteen years, and I cannot stress enough that the most important factor to language learning is exposure, which is the contact that the learner has with the language they are learning, either generally or with specific language points. So, let's brainstorm together: how can you raise exposure if you are not living in the country where the language is spoken? I am reading you! :)

Hi, Michela! Nowadays there are so many ways to exposure yourself to language learning when you’re not living in a country where your target language is spoken. I’m focused in learning English, so I only need a Wi-Fi network available and my favourite device, an iPad—my smartphone can do the trick as well—and connected myself easily with a whole world of possibilities by way of YouTube programs, podcasts shows or Radio broadcasts. However, you don’t need to learn a language on your own as an only option. The more obvious alternative is to attend classes in a language school or in a language platform such Italki, sure, but also If you’re a person people and you like meeting new people, you might find out a language exchange group in your own city and join it. Have a nice day!

Listening to music while reading the lyrics. Also memorizing them works to get a better understanding of the song story line. That helped me a lot to improve my English pronunciation and listening skills in that language
