I found this expression in an anime:
巻いたか
This was used after a car chase to ask if they lost the person following them, but I know the verb 巻く means to roll/wrap around, is this an idiomatic expression, or is the kanji used here wrong?
"巻く" can mean winding a thread, winding a screw, or winding a scarf, but it can also mean shaking off pursuers, evading pursuit, or successfully escaping ( ´ω`)
