I know Virgile through my brother. After studying with him, I feel very satisfied with my choice. He is an incredibly dedicated and passionate teacher. He is very patient and always happy to explain things that I don't understand. He corrects my pronunciation and grammar mistakes carefully. Besides French, I also hear about French culture and he also teaches me native slangs. He makes learning French truly enjoyable. I just had my first trial lesson with Virgile. This was my first French lesson on italki, so I don’t have a direct point of comparison yet. That said, he clearly enjoys teaching and has a strong understanding of second language acquisition. The lesson was well-structured, and he provided thoughtful lesson plans while being flexible in willing to adapt his approach to align with my personal goals, which I really appreciated. I’m still exploring different teaching styles and instructors before making a decision, so I haven’t committed to lessons with him yet. However, if his profile interests you, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try, you’ll likely pick up some history knowledge along the way too :)
