My name is Γιάννης, and I am from Greece, where I currently live. I have many different hobbies. I am deeply interested in history both on a Greek and international level. In my free time I also enjoy drawing. Often I take trips in natural reserves, as I love birdwatching and nature photography.Ik als leerkracht
I graduated from the Department of Education in Greece in 2019. Since then I been teaching the Greek language. I have worked with various students, from adults that learn the Greek as a foreign languange to primary school children in Greece. In that way, I am very flexible with the teaching methods I am using in my lessons.Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
All these years that I worked in the education sector, I have realized that each person is different in many ways, including learning. Considering this, I focus on the individual needs of my students, and I plan my lessons accordingly. That's why I use a variety of different resources in my lessons.
Every language has two important aspects: grammar and actual usage and performance. You need to know how to form a correct sentence in Greek, but it is equally important to know how to use the things you learned to communicate. This is why I emphasize everyday vocabulary, encouraging my students to participate actively.

My lessons with Giannis just keep getting better. Noticeable improvement today, once again. Even though his English is excellent, he knows exactly how to explain everything in simple Greek so that English is only the last resort. Gives me the confidence that is absolutely essential for a language learner with his unfailingly positive and encouraging manner. Simply outstanding.

The longer I study with Γιάννης, the more I value him as a teacher. He is kind and patient, so I believe everyone can feel at ease with him. What's more (and this is rare), he is flexible, adjusting both the pace and content to suit the student. This way, it's super easy to feel motivated and energized both during and after the lessons. Last but not least, he's an intelligent guy, so you can rest assured that the lessons and conversations will be interesting and lively. :)
