Hi, I'm Lina! I'm from Indonesia. I've got a bachelor's degree in Indonesian Language and Literature and a master's degree in Indonesian Linguistics. I started teaching Indonesian Language in April 2020 and since then I have decided that I will become an Indonesian teacher because I love this job so much! I love sleeping, eating, and watching YouTube. << Sounds like I'm a lazy person. LOL >> But apart from my laziness, I work really hard to prepare the best materials for my students.

I believe language is a living thing that exists when people communicate with each other. That's why making sure students talk as much as possible is my main focus. I work to make sure you learn from real-world material and we do activities that directly relate to things you would encounter in real life. I make my own material for my lessons and I give it to each of my students so you can use it to study in your own time as well as in my lessons. If you would like to see some examples of the material then you can send me a message.

In addition, some other classes helped me to fully understand Indonesian language. I learned Indonesian Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, and Indonesian Structure.

Master - LinguisticsCurrently I am writing my master thesis. It is scheduled to be completed at the end of this semester. This studies focuses on Indonesian Linguistics. Lina is a great teacher. Her small-talk method is fun, engaging and effective. I love how we spend a lot of time each lesson just talking - that's fantastic practice! I learn new words in sentences, I listen to the language more when she speaks, and, of course, I try to make sentences on my own. Lina writes everything down so I can read it again and again after our lesson. She prepares very structured and clear materials. I also have homework, and when we check it, Lina asks some additional questions - so from the very beginning (I started from 0), you will talk A LOT during Lina's classes, and that's good. She is super kind and has positive energy. Thank you for guiding me on my way to learn Indonesian :)
