Hello, my name is Alex! My passion is studying languages and sharing my knowledge with others. My specialty is chemistry, which makes acquiring new information a natural process for me. I've enrolled in courses like 'Learning How to Learn' and absorbed the concept of authentic/natural language learning to achieve an advanced level in languages such as English and French. I continue learning every day, practicing Romanian and English daily at work and in my personal life. In my free time, I engage with French and Italian by reading articles and watching videos on various topics such as health, nutrition, learning, IT, music, psychology, emphathy, – and these are welcomed for our discussion.

As a teacher, I have 3 years of experience conveying chemistry concepts to children through experiments in three languages: my native Russian and Romanian, and occasionally in English. Additionally, I have hosted offline Romanian conversational club for adults and conducted individual sessions for children. I adhere to the principles of Humanistic education, where each individual is regarded as a divine 'seed' destined to grow into a unique and fruitful 'tree.' Each person possesses their own distinct personality, a unique perspective on this planet, and an individual path to contribute light to humanity. I do believe that everyone who enters in our life might become a teacher for us also.

In my lessons, I hold the idea that languages are instruments for connecting people from different cultures in order to enrich each other's lives. I truly believe that everyone can learn to speak a language, step by step, by noticing the tiny progressions and being present in the moment (mindfulness) and celebrating these small steps toward fluency (positive attitude). My intention is to create lessons that are interesting for both you and me. My style is rather inspirational, focusing on discussing areas of interest and immersing ourselves in an ambiance where you feel engaged and motivated to continue (as you can see, my interest in brain chemistry is having an impact here as well :) ).

Another great class! Alex and I talked about what I do for a living, some of my hobbies, and we reviewed some grammatical concepts that came up during our conversation. He always makes me feel so comfortable speaking Romanian and is always very patient when I don’t understand something he says. The majority of this class was in Romanian, so I really appreciate it how he kept the focus on the target language.

A great first class! I had so many different questions for Alex and he walked through each one with me, showing me examples and helping me form sentences. I felt really comfortable working with him and I learned quite a bit!
