Hi, my name is Tamary. I'm from Zimbabwe but i live in South Africa. I am excited to be here as your ESL teacher. I am willing to chat about anything from current affairs, business, books as long as we are all comfortable of chatting about the topic. I hold a diploma in education and a TEFL certificate. I have 3 years of experience teaching English as a second language. I have had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds, and this has enriched my teaching journey. I enjoy working with students of all ages from beginners to advanced learners. In my classes, I aim to foster not only language proficiency but also confidence in using English in everyday situations. I believe that no learner comes into the classroom empty headed therefore my classes are always learner-centred. My approach focuses of creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable of expressing their language skills. I also believe in using a variey of teaching methods, including multimedia resources, interactive activities, role plays, real life converastions and objects inorder to make learning enjoyable and effective.
