My name is Zoila García. I was born in Guatemala, the fourth of eight children. I like to walk, read, cook and to get to know new cultures. I speak a good amount of English. I focus on real-life applications of Spanish. I can help you with grammar, homework, vocabulary, conversation, writing practice and anything else you might need. My schedule is open and flexible. I have experience teaching all levels of Spanish from beginners to intermediates to advanced students.

Zoila and I had a delightful conversation that ranged from celebrating Easter in Guatemala to ways of preparing and drinking coffee. We then launched into some challenging subjunctive exercises. I learned a tremendous amount in both parts of the class, and Zoila was there to support me every step of the way!

Another fantastic lesson with Zoila! In the conversational section of our lesson, she always provides timely and useful grammar feedback and enriches my vocabulary as we go. In the grammar section, we continued to work on the present perfect of the subjunctive. I appreciate the depth of her knowledge and her calm, patient, accepting style.
