Hobbies: Traveling abroad & visiting art museums.

After obtaining my qualification as a Japanese teacher at school, I worked briefly as a Japanese teacher in Vietnam. At that time, I taught conversation-focused classes from beginner to business level. I also have experience volunteering to teach Japanese language and culture to local American students during my study abroad in the U.S. I have been teaching Japanese on Italki since 2021.

I offer a variety of lessons including conversation, reading comprehension, business Japanese, writing, and grammar. Lessons are provided based on the students' needs! Some lessons can even be customized by the students themselves!
I will carefully explain any parts that are unclear and encourage students to think for themselves. I will also provide thorough guidance on any incorrect expressions. Let’s work together to improve your Japanese skills!

Tomomi-sensei is wonderful to have conversations with. I had studied Japanese in the past and had been looking for someone that I could speak to for practice and to help me correct my waning Japanese grammar skills. We have general conversations about whatever topic comes to mind that day, and I always leave with new words and more complex sentence structures to help me speak better!

Tomomi-Sensei is extremely patient and kind. She did a wonderful job of encouraging me to figure out the hiragana for myself. I look forward to having more lessons with her and would recommend her highly to beginners like me. Thank you Tomomi-Sensei!

Tomomi sensei helps me a lot with organising and expressing my thoughts. She helps correct my mistakes and learn new words and expressions and explains things clearly. It's a lot of fun discussing different topics in the lessons!

Tomomi sensei always corrects my mistakes and explains the things I don't understand in an easy way. She's also encouraging when I get things right and gives me better ways to express myself. She's a very kind and patient teacher and I'm looking forward to more lessons next year!

She corrects my mistakes and explains things so I can remember for next time, and teaches new words and phrases to use in the discussions. I'm looking forward to the next lesson!
