Yun Xian continues to provide awesome Chinese language insight and learning techniques that regularly help me in how I think about Chinese and learn the language. She helps me innovate my learning process and changes things up when I'm not catching on and learning how I should be. Great lessons!

She is the best teacher I've ever had. She's very professional and she's knowledgeable not only about the language but also about the culture and history of China. She makes learning Chinese interesting and fun, she's always engaging and enthusiastic. With her I'm learning at a much greater pace than I ever thought would be possible.

Yun Xian‘s Pronunciation Course is probably one of the best Mandarin course's found on italki. Every lesson with Yun is excellent. Her lesson's are challenging and enjoyable. I highly recommend Yun to anyone studying Mandarin regardless of your level of learning!

For help with instruction, Yunxian offers the best of both direct instruction and "learn by doing." She presents brief explanations through her expert, custom-designed materials, then offers clever methods whereby students can self-instruct and self-correct (ask about the spoon!). Students practice immediately with syllables, words, and phrases, carefully selected by Yunxian to demonstrate nuances in sounds, again with her custom-designed materials. Yunxian is an expert, skilled, engaging, supportive instructor and I treasure the opportunity to work with her.

Yun Xian is an incredibly gifted teacher. I've been taking lessons from her for a few months now and I feel far more confident speaking and reading Chinese.
