Julio

I just had my first lesson with Julio, and it was an amazing experience! He’s a fantastic teacher, patient, friendly and really knows how to make learning enjoyable. From the start, he made me feel comfortable speaking Portuguese, even when I wasn’t sure about my words. He took the time to assess my level and tailored the lesson to my needs, which I really appreciated. The class was interactive, well-structured, and full of useful insights. I’m really impressed by his knowledge and confidence in teaching. He explains things clearly and makes learning feel natural. I already feel more confident, and I’m excited to continue improving with his help. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great Portuguese teacher!

Today we talked about some really interesting topics like social norms in Brazil vs. other countries, the influence of music and media on language, personal identity when speaking different languages, and how slang reflects culture. It was one of those classes that makes you think and learn at the same time.

On today’s class, we focused on speaking, and I could really feel how much thought and effort Julio put into the lesson. He created a space where I felt comfortable expressing myself, even when tackling more complex topics. Julio asked thoughtful questions that pushed me to speak more naturally and confidently and he always gave clear, encouraging feedback to help me improve. Thank you, Julio!

Today we focused on conversation practice. We discussed some really thought-provoking topics like climate change, sustainable living, fast fashion and how individuals can make a difference when it comes to protecting the environment. Julio did an amazing job keeping the conversation flowing while helping me express more complex ideas in Portuguese. He introduced useful vocabulary and expressions related to the topics and his corrections were always clear and encouraging.

I had another great class with Julio today, and I really enjoyed it. We talked about Brazilian culture, things like stereotypes, the "jeitinho brasileiro", regional accents, social norms and how all of that connects to the way people speak and interact. Julio made the whole conversation feel natural and engaging. He introduced new expressions, explained the context behind them and made sure everything was clear. He’s super knowledgeable and always puts in the effort to make each lesson meaningful. I'm learning so much with him and genuinely look forward to every class.

Today we worked on writing an argumentative text, which was exactly what I needed. Julio helped me organize my thoughts clearly and showed me how to use better connectors and expressions to make my writing stronger. He’s super supportive and gives really helpful feedback without making it feel overwhelming. I can already see a difference in how I write in Portuguese and I always feel like I’m moving forward after each class. Learning with him just feels easy and motivating.
