Hello! I'm a world traveller happy to call the cosmopolitan city of Toronto, Canada, home. I'm passionate about language and culture. I speak French fluently, and I have a basic knowledge of Persian.

I have fifteen years of teaching experience in a wide range of contexts. I've taught ESL in Japan, Australia, and at home in Canada. I recently decided to return to my first passion, teaching, and obtained my TEFL certification from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at U of T. I like to keep my teaching method practical. Everything is based on the idea that teaching is a relationship, based on mutual respect.
My classes include a lot of conversation, adapted to your interests and current level. I’m also a believer in the importance of listening exercises, reading, and writing for deepening one’s knowledge of vocabulary and grammar. For this I introduce supplementary materials like video or radio clips, articles and blogs, or I might ask you to research or report on something that interests you.
Our first lesson will start with an assessment of your level in English. Together we'll plan goals for your lessons, and I'm here to keep you on track!Certificaten

Jessica is an amazing teacher. She is very calm, patient and takes great care to explain everything and guide you through a lesson. I am now fully confident I can achieve my target IELTS score and I had great fun preparing for it with Jessica.
