Hi, I’m Valeria, a 36-year-old photographer living in Veracruz, Mexico. I have a deep passion for capturing genuine moments through my photography. In addition to my creative career, I’ve been a Spanish teacher on italki for the past four years, helping students from around the world refine their language skills. While I've always felt driven to be a Spanish language instructor, the joy I felt from facilitating the growth and development of language learners throughout the world only reaffirmed my passion and culture. I think the best learning is the one obtained in everyday conversations through immersion, and that's why I like keeping a written record for each student during class to raise the level of difficulty according to the pace that you feel most comfortable. Our starting class will start with your current level through an informal conversation to define the individual objectives that are sought out throughout your time with me and make a personalized schedule with the topics of interest of each student. During class, I will note challenging vocabulary, solve complex questions, and send tasks that engage and improve your level of Spanish through all forms of media, a TV series, listening to music, or writing on subjects that interest you.

Valeria is the real deal! She is always helpful and nice; we have been working together for a while. We usually talk about our interests, interesting cultural anecdotes about Mexico, and my interest in learning Spanish. She is very personable and cares about your needs as a student. Please take a course with her!
