Hello everyone, my name is Olivia. I was born and raised in Seoul and now I am currently living in Germany. So Korean is my mother tongue and I speak fluent English.
Iβm learning German. So I understand what itβs like to learn a foreign language from nothing! Iβd say, itβs quite challenging but itβs also a very fun and exciting journey. I hope my learners will feel the same way, learning Korean or English.

I think the most important quality as a teacher is the ability to encourage learners. Learning a language is not always easy and there are ups and downs. And it requires quite a bit of efforts and dedication. I believe that a good teacher makes learning more pleasant even when learners bump into obstacles, and makes them feel comfortable and relaxed so that they can speak without feeling nervous. I think the biggest strength of my class is that I quickly notice the different learning styles and needs of each student. I try to make the best of 1:1 tutoring by satisfying individual needs. It is ideal to improve all four skills (reading, listening, writing, speaking) but every learner is different and has different learning styles. So I try to respect the differences. Secondly, also important is having fun while learning! I try to create a relaxed atmosphere with my students so that they can speak without feeling nervous and learn by making mistakes.
