Hi there！ My name is Shiori. From Nara,Japan.
I lived in Australia for 2 years, after that I traveled around the world（over 40 countries）by bicycle and backpacker. Now, I'm living in Paraguay.
When I was traveling, I met a lot of people, and I realized that each country has its own respective culture.
Understanding other cultures and languages is really really interesting!!!
Also, when I was a Uni student, my major was Japanese culture and history.
so, especially if you have an interest in Japanese culture（Anime, Manga, history, travel etc,,,）
we can talk about it too!

I have a qualification as a Professional Japanese teacher.
And I was teaching Japanese as a volunteer teacher at an orphanage in Myanmar.
currently, I'm working full-time at Italki.
I have also worked in the sales / HR department of a Japanese company, so I can assist and answer your questions about business etiquette in Japan, work documents/mail, and résumé as well.

Shiori-sensei is a very kind, encouraging, and friendly teacher. She listens to you intently and compliments you when you do things well which is very encouraging. She only speaks English when necessary but will allow you to speak English if needed. She is also interested in you as a person and will ask lots of questions which is very nice. Lessons with her are fun and interesting! しおり先生、ありがとうございました！

Another great lesson with Shiori-sensei! Easy to talk to and asks lots of questions to get to know each other better. This time we studied more grammar and did lots of the exercises together. She always asks extra questions to personalise the lesson. Again I want to emphasise that she's a kind, understanding, and patient teacher who always praises me when I'm correct or do something well, or gently corrects me when I do or say something incorrect. This time, she gave me homework to do but I actually asked for even more homework as I'm excited to move onto the next lesson. しろい先生、ありがとうございました！
