Hi, there! My name is Sara, I'm Italian, and I'm a certified teacher of Italian and of English.
I've studied foreign languages and literatures, with a focus on English literature, both in Italy and in Germany. At present, I teach Italian, English, and English literature. I've lived and studied abroad (in Germany and in England) for ten years, and since the beginning of 2020 I’m based in Italy.
I’ve started teaching Italian as a foreign language at university in 2013, and over the past two and a half years I’ve also taught individual classes of Italian here on Italki.
I've always been enthusiastic about learning languages, and I know how demanding (but also rewarding!) it can be.Ik als leerkracht
My main aim as a teacher is to help you achieve your goals by focussing on your main needs. I think that both my personal and professional experience can bring a lot to my profile as a teacher. I offer lessons of Italian (any level) not only as a native speaker, but also as a certified and experienced teacher.
As for English, I have experienced learning the language myself and I am therefore aware of the main difficulties this can imply (especially if you are a speaker of Italian).Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
My teaching approach is mainly based on communication, but I'm of course ready to adapt my lessons to your personal goals: grammar, reading, listening, vocabulary, conversation, … whatever you need, we can work on it together! I use a lot of authentic material (podcasts, videos, newspaper articles, …), as well as textbook exercises and worksheets.Mijn lesmateriaal

I always have a wonderful conversation with Sara. We talk about all kinds of topics and she is great about drawing me out to practice my Italian. She gives very precise and helpful feedback. I highly recommend her as an excellent teacher!
