My name is Giorgia, I am 33 years old and I am Italian. I have a master’s degree in Japanese and I have been living in South America for 8 years. I have been working as a teacher for more than 8 years and I am passionate teaching my own language, my second mother language which is Spanish, and Japanese to which I have dedicated more than 6 years oIk als leerkracht
I have never liked boring lessons and I like dynamism, so I would define myself a teacher who likes that students can learn having fun and with joy. At the same time, I adore grammar and I think it is very important to study and internalize it in order to speak well a foreign language. Finally, during my classes I like to speak a little bit about culture of the language we are studying and to do some language structure’s comparisons which are very interesting to understand how languages work (a little bit of linguistics help). My classes are dynamic and interactive, focused to see a language like an alive creature which we have to use to communicate with people. Grammar studies and explications with its practice will always be a part of our classes, with pronunciation exercises, dictates, reading, role plays and listening. Usually I prepare PPTs to present each class’s grammar points and I also prepare some little review exercises and supplementary worksheet as homework.Mijn lesmateriaal

I had a great experience with Giorgia for my very first lesson learning any Japanese. She was great at teaching in English even though she's Italian, and since I really didn't know anything, she was very patient and helpful in asking how exactly I like to learn, whether I'd like to focus more on phrases or on writing and on formal Japanese. She is part of a Japanese family and would be clearly good for conversational/more advanced speakers, but was also prepared to take me on as a beginner student and flexible with timing. Overall great experience and looking forward to learning more with her!

While Georgia was lovely, I felt as though she wasn’t not fully present. She was 5 minutes late, which I didn’t mind, but very eager to end the chat at the very second our 30 minutes were up. I left feeling more confused than when I started which is unfortunate, as I was looking forward to the lesson all day.
