Ivan

The only bad thing I can say about having Ivan as a teacher is that he is too good at teaching! I am also learning Italian and mandarin, so It’s really very annoying because I haven't been able to find teachers that I enjoy having lessons with in those languages as much as Ivan’s, he’s set the bar too high! Ivan is a very patient and fun teacher. His method of laying down the foundations of Greek is really paying off for me and I am looking forward to many more lessons to come. I know my learning has really just begun, but with Ivan's help I really have the motivation to keep going. In the past with other teachers I have often felt nervous before a lesson, but not so with Ivan. We have a joke about mistakes and he makes me feel comfortable to speak, which is crucial for me. In over a year Ivan has become a friend as well as a great teacher, soon it will be my 100th lesson with him! Thanks to Ivan learning Greek has become a one of my major life challenges that I really enjoy!

Είμαι πολύ τυχερός που βρήκα τον Ivan ως Έλληνα δάσκαλό μου. Μου αρέσουν πολύ τα μαθήματα καθώς είναι πάντα διασκεδαστικά και μαθαίνω πολύ χρήσιμο λεξιλόγιο. I am a teacher myself and I really appreciate Ivan's patience and sense of humour. He is excellent at getting you to say what you want to say by drawing it out of you and time flies during the lessons. Keep up the good work, Ivan!

After working with Ivan for a language challenge I have continued to work with him for over a year. Starting from absolute zero Ivan has helped work with me at my level and has provided critical assistance with colloquial phrases and understanding the history/reasoning for various words.
