Maitri

মৈত্রী! আমার বাংলা লেসন খুব খুব ভালোক লাগে! It’s been such a pleasure learning Bengali from Maitri over the last year and a half, I can’t thank her enough for such clear, concise, and flexible lessons! She teaches with authority, but always with kindness and willingness to adjust, each lesson is easy to follow and builds off the last. She’s also willing to share about her culture, food, and country, I feel like I’ve already been to Tripura and India before I’ve even gone! Wonderful teacher, very very highly recommended, it’s been a real joy to have Maitri as my Bengali teacher

Maitri is very patient and thorough. As a heritage speaker, I'm working through gaps in knowledge, and I feel that I am recovering vocabulary quickly. Because my comprehension is much better than speaking, Maitri conducts our lessons in Bangla, which helps me stay focused and take notes in script. I would recommend her lessons to any heritage speakers who have imbalanced listening, speaking, writing, etc. and want to fill in the gaps.

Maitri is a very helpful teacher. I have had several classes with her, and feel I am progressing well. She is supportive during our class time and has introduced new information at a manageable pace. She is patient and provides me with additional information/resources, and helpful tips on where/how/what to listen to, to learn the language more efficiently.

Maitri was awesome! Confident, experienced and a great plan for teaching. She also has great vibes and is very positive. Excited for more lessons!
