Hello! I’m Yukari. I’m a qualified Japanese teacher. I grew up in Tokyo and Yokohama. I speak standard Japanese. I started my professional life as an editor in a publishing company and wrote a book as a ghostwriter. Since I moved to France where I live now, I have worked in marketing. My interests in language, communication and interacting with other people from all over the world led me to become a teacher. I have a curious mind. The fields that interest me include but are not limited to science, art and architecture. Outside of teaching, my life is filled with yoga practice, playing the piano and swimming. When I go on holiday, I like embracing nature by hiking, sea swimming or skiing.

Creativity and curiosity. I draw not only on my knowledge of Japanese as a teacher but also on the communication skills that I gained through my professional work to harness students' curiosity. I do my best to make my lessons engaging and set up a relaxed environment so that my students can speak freely. クリエイティブで好奇心を育てる日本語学習。教師としての言語知識だけでなく、過去の仕事を通して得たコミュニケーションのスキルも投じて、おもしろくてわかりやすいレッスンをするよう心がけています。学習者の方がリラックスして話せるようガイドします。

My lessons are tailored to meet each student’s objectives, learning style and interests. I teach adults (aged 16 and over) of all levels. I regret to inform you that I am currently unable to provide lessons for travel-related purposes. A1からC2まで、全レベルの学習者の方（16歳以上）を対象にしています。各学習者の目標、学習スタイル、関心に合わせたレッスンです。 I suggest having a trial or conversation lesson for the first time so that we can discuss your personal plan whichever course you would take later.

Another great lesson with Yukari sensei! The textbook we are using is very good, but what makes it even better is that she supplements the material with deeper explanations of the grammar lessons and specific examples of more commonly used Japanese phrases and vocabulary. Very excited about my Japanese language journey!

Yukari sensei is an excellent language teacher all around! She is extremely knowledgeable, adapting each lesson while incorporating language and cultural nuances into the lesson. I appreciate that she is very patient and encouraging when I make mistakes and it is clear that she truly cares and gets excited when she can see improvement in your learning. There are many good teachers on italki, but Yukari sensei definitely stands out. I am starting to feel more confident when speaking and I am so grateful that she is my teacher!
