I am a friendly, laid-back person who enjoys sharing knowledge and helping others. My interests are broad and I am open to learning and exploring new ideas. In my free time, I play soccer for a local ladies football club. Goal keeper is my preferred position. I also love baking; my caramel slices are a hit with everyone who tries them. I enjoy being immersed in a gripping thriller; some of my favorite authors are John Grisham, Agatha Christie, Dan Brown and Deon Meyer, a South African author.Ik als leerkracht
As a teacher, I am patient, encouraging and relaxed. I am always willing to go the extra mile for my students and I aim to build a comfortable relationship with them so that they will feel open to allowing me to help them learn, make mistakes and grow. I believe that the best way to learn a new language and improve your skills is to immerse yourself in the language and expose yourself as much as possible.Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
My lessons are interactive and inclusive, and is a safe and positive space to learn and grow. Corrections will be kept to a minimum throughout the lesson so as not to disrupt the student too much. I am a firm believer of positive reinforcement and also embracing challenges and mistakes, because that is how we grow. I will encourage the student to speak a fair amount during our lessons so that they can become comfortable thinking and speaking in English, and I will leave them with various materials such as songs, podcasts, short series and reading passages so that they can keep on learning outside of the classroom.Mijn lesmateriaal
