My name is Eri. I’m a native Japanese speaker from Kobe Japan currently living in the UK. I have also lived in Australia and Canada. I love traveling and have visited over 25 countries. I also love baking and playing Animal crossing in my spare time.
I want to share my culture and life experience with you and I hope that you will share your own with me. I’m a very friendly and patient person and interested in teaching anyone who has a passion for Japanese. I have a standard Japanese accent, but I can speak Kansai dialect as well. My goal is to create a stress-free learning environment so please don't be afraid to be silly and make jokes :)
Ik als leerkracht
When I was abroad, I experienced teaching Japanese to local people as a volunteer. In Japan I also worked for a language school teaching English to Japanese people for 5 years. So I understand how to teach a language and motivate my students.
I have learnt several different languages in my life as well so I know that learning a new language is challenging but also is so much fun. So Don’t worry if you are a complete beginner. I’m happy to help you begin this fun journey!

Eri has helped me after not practicing Japanese for a few months. She encouraged me with materials which were tailored to my specific needs and I left the lesson feeling more confident in my speaking ability. What's more, Eri provided me with materials for my own self study. I instantly feel better and want to learn more when I take lessons with Eri.
Highly recommended! :)

Eri-sensei is always very kind and patient in her lessons and will guide you to an answer instead of telling you it outright, which is always a great and rewarding way to learn. She writes plenty of notes to study during the lesson which I always really appreciate and look back on. She is very encouraging and never makes me feel nervous to use the language or back away from challenges I may face in Japanese. Please, book her lessons!!

Eri was great in the trial lesson. I just booked a package of 5 more lessons. She is kind, fun, and engaging! I was so nervous as I am just starting to learn to speak in conversations. After a year and a half of study on my own learning vocabulary, I look forward to working with her to finally become conversational in Japanese :-)
Thank you Eri Sensei!
