Hello, I am Derian Chen, my Chinese name is 陈智福 (Chén Zhìfú), and I am 华人 (Huá Rén), which means Chinese ethnicity or descent, regardless of nationality. I was born in Indonesia and raised in a Chinese overseas community. My ancestors came from Fujian province, China.
I have over 5 years of teaching experience, having started my career in high school. I hold both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree, with my Master’s focused on teaching Chinese to foreigners. I am fluent in English, so during the class, when I am explaining grammar and new words, there won’t be a language barrier.Ik als leerkracht
as a teacher, I use different techniques and teaching methods. I don't use only one book and or one internet resource, I use different books to give a comprehensive understanding of Chinese language Speaking, listening, reading and writing are essential while learning Chinese. My responsibility is to introduce the characters in visual form, let the student understand from which strokes every character consists, develop listing and writing skills, practicing tones until they start to come naturally. together we will learn Chinese from the very basic structures to advanced. Chén is an amazing teacher. Today was my first lesson an I had a great learning time. He's really cared about your doubts an is here for any inconvenient you may have. I will be totally taking lessons with him.
