Hi! My name is Cynthia, and Iām originally from Hamburg, Germany. I speak German, English, and Spanish fluently, and Iāve always had a passion for exploring the world. By the age of 22, I had already lived in five different countriesāSpain (Barcelona), England (Lancaster), Poland (Szczecin), and Mexico (Tijuana). Iām currently based in the beautiful city of CancĆŗn, Mexico.
Professionally, I also work as the Supervisor of the office of the to the Honorary Consul of Germany in CancĆŗn.

Iām a passionate, open-minded teacher with over 10 years of experience. I speak English and Spanish at a fluent level and learned both from scratch, so I understand the challenges of language learning firsthand. My lessons focus on fluency, confidence, and vocabulary-building through engaging, personalized conversations. Iāve taught students of all ages, mostly adults who want to improve their speaking skills or prepare for exams. Lessons may include speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary and exam preparation to build practical, real-world language skills. Youāll speak most of the time, with my support and corrections. I provide clear materials, optional homework, and regular feedback to track progress. Today, I had my first lesson with Cynthia. It was a great experience. She was very engaged, made corrections when I struggled, and always asked follow-on questions that progressed the conversation. I will enjoy learning from her as I continue learning the German language.

I really enjoyed learning German with Cynthia and would recommend her 100%. She is patient, attentive to individual needs, and speaks with a pace that is perfect for beginners. I chose her because she could teach German while giving explanations in Spanish, helping me improve in both languages, knowing that she could switch to English, if necessary. Her multilingual fluency made communication easy and effective!
