Hana

Hana sensei is a skillful and experienced teacher that loves her job and one of the coolest people I have met. Her grammar lessons helped me pass the JLPT2 ahead of my target date. How? - She picked a notebook that was perfect for me. All of its 100+ grammar points come with audio example sentences. Ideal for someone with a good ear memory and little time to study - Her presentation document follows the textbook but adds a lot of useful information: explanations on obscure points, comparisons with other expressions, precisions on usage (formal/informal, ...) and funny illustrations - For each grammar point, I had to read the example sentences out loud one by one (useful for the reading practice). I also had to invent one example sentence. When I was too lazy and came up with a beginner-level sentence, she would challenge me, gently but firmly, to do better Of course I did the homework too, but if I passed that exam, it's in no small part thanks to Hana Sensei's guidance. Merci Madame !

I have been taking lessons with Hana先生 for about 8 months now. Right from the first lesson, she was able to get me to start speaking in Japanese despite my confidence level at the time. Through Hana先生’s instruction, I believe that my Japanese speaking skills have been steadily improving. Now, even difficult to construct sentences are no longer a problem! On some lessons, Hana先生 will also share very interesting topics regarding Japanese traditions and holidays. I have enjoyed taking lessons with Hana先生 so much that our lesson times have started from 30 minutes then to 60 minutes and now to 90 minutes. With our longer lesson times, we've had the luxury to talk about recent events and typically enjoy a nice chat prior to returning to the textbook lesson topic. The free talk we have is invaluable as I'm able to express myself in Japanese and also we're able to discuss topics that I find interesting. This makes the lesson so enjoyable that time will just fly by. Thank you so much Hana先生!

Hana sense is no doubt the best Japanese teacher not only on italki and in the universe‼️Hana sensei is well organized, stays focused throughout the lesson👩‍🏫. She makes sure I speak Japanese correctly and explained grammar very detailed🥳. Hana sensei has her magic way to motivate students. 🪄After each lesson, my mind is so refresh and full of energy☀️ which makes me want to study Japanese more . 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵. Really enjoyable lesson :)

Hana Sensei's lessons are always fun, challenging, and jam-packed with unique learning opportunities. We always start with a fun conversation, review lots of vocabulary, and chapter concepts. However, today's lesson was exceptional. Hana Sensei drew a picture of a full length girl and illustrated how to use new verbs: kaburimasu かぶります (put something on your head i.e., hat), kimasu きます (put clothes on the upper body i.e., tshirt), hakimasu はきます (put clothes/shoes on below the waist i.e., pants, shoes) and a bonus verb tsukemasu つけます (put on accessories i.e., yubiwa (a ring). Since I wear glasses, she taught me the correct verb to use, kakemasu, かけます, to describe putting on glasses, too！Now, I can describe what I and others are wearing or putting on! Thank you, Hana Sensei, for such amazing and super fun lessons! Recently, I started taking 2 lessons per week! Now, I'm able to speak Japanese more than ever before.

I always enjoy Japanese lessons with Hana Sensei. I especially enjoy our conversations at the beginning of each lesson! Today, we reviewed vocabulary, numbers, and did a role play for purchasing products. She also taught me a mini lesson on na and i adjectives. Each lesson is packed with learning opportunities and is customized to my language needs. Hana Sensei is the best language teacher that I ever had. I am very lucky to have found her.
