From 2004 to 2007, I was send by the ministry of education to Mauritius to teach Chinese there in the public schools. During the 3 years, I have accumulated many teaching methods.

So a word said with high pitch may have a different meaning than the same word said with a low pitch. ☆ In English, much information is carried by the use of auxiliaries and by verb inflections: is/are/were, eat/eats/ate/eaten, etc. Chinese, on the other hand, is an uninflected language and conveys meaning through word order, adverbials or shared understanding of the context.
