My educational background is a mix of institutional education at universities of Kharkiv and Kyiv, constant autodidactic practice and advanced courses at Accademia Vivarium novum. I have been teaching Latin (and occasionaly Ancient Greek and Ukrainian) for over 2 years, using modern methodologies of language teaching. I am a certified teacher of Greek language (Ancient and Modern) and literature, as well as Russian as a foreign language. At the moment I have been teaching Greek for twenty years and Russian for fifteen years. I prepare students for certification exams in Greek ("Πιστοποίησης Επάρκειας της Ελληνομάθειας") and for exams for obtaining Greek citizenship, as well as for State certification exams in Russian as a foreign language. In addition, I teach Latin to high school students. My teaching experience also includes teaching ancient Greek and Modern Greek literature.

I know it might be "not so much attractive" to hear that someone is from Serbia or another Balkan country but the best thing about this is that I can teach you serbian, croatian, bosnian, montenegrian:-). I would say these languages are all the same with small regional differences and it is a kind of political issue that we all call it differently. I know that many people prefer native speakers, but it can sometimes be tricky. The native speakers are good teachers only if they are foreign langauge teachers, believe me. I also teach latin and italian so I think I could be a good choice for you:-)

Master's degree in Latin w/ 25 yrs. teaching experience; author of two widely-used Latin textbooks. I have an outstanding command of the Latin language, a keen understanding of Latin grammar and syntax, and a deep and meaningful knowledge of Hellenistic, Roman, and late-antique history. But more importantly during my 20 years of teaching I have developed an keen ability to *teach* the language. Rather than just being someone who happens to know a little Latin, I know both WHAT THE STUDENT NEEDS TO DO as well as WHAT THE TEACHER NEEDS TO DO in order to facilitate learning the language.
