As more and more people live in cities, many new problems appears. For example, it takes us a lot time to find the best way for children's growth, because the environment around children is very different from what we had in our childhood. When we were children, running in the sushine and playing games with friends were the things we did most. We felt happy every day. But everything changes after more and more electronic devices came into our daily lives. Children have a lot of E-learning courses online insteads of going out for fun. They spend most of the time staying home. Without enjoying the nature and playing with friends, the percentage of children who have psychological problem increases really fast. This makes us feel very worried. The memory of sunshine and laugh just belong to adults. I hope that every adult can spend some time thinking about how much the electronic devices influence our children.

Dear Sister, I saw you are hiring volunteers and I'm interested in becoming a volunteer to share in the community's daily life. Are you still accepting volunteers for this summer? I'm working for a school, so I'm flexible with the time, anytime between June to August works for me. I volunteered for a monastery (xx Abbey) with my mother before, but she is over 55 now. I chose to work for a 501(c)(3) charitable organization after graduating because I considered spiritual life a priority. The co-founders consider the organization as an "apostolic hobby". I am passionate about volunteering and am currently teaching English to a beginner for a church-based community center. I have a lot of time available during my school holidays, so I am eager to take on this work! Thank you for taking the time to consider my application, and please let me know if you need more information. I look forward to your reply. Kind regards, X

Here are two more multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for English grammar practice, along with explanations for each answer: --- ### **1. Which sentence uses the correct article?** A) She is an university professor. B) She is a university professor. C) She is the university professor. D) She is university professor. **Answer: B) She is a university professor.** **Proof:** The word "university" starts with a **consonant sound** (/juː/), so the correct indefinite article is **"a"** (not "an," which is used before vowel sounds). "The" would only be used if referring to a specific professor. --- ### **2. Choose the grammatically correct sentence:** A) The book who I borrowed is very interesting. B) The book which I borrowed is very interesting. C) The book that I borrowed it is very interesting. D) The book whom I borrowed is very interesting. **Answer: B) The book which I borrowed is very interesting.** **Proof:** - **"Which"** is the correct relative pronoun for objects (like "book"). - **"Who"** and **"whom"** are used for people, not objects. - **Option C** is incorrect because "it" is redundant (the relative pronoun "that" already refers to "the book").
