Question from English tutor Alice for English language learners. Are you repetitive in your answers? For example. If someone from the US asks you, "How are you?" What's the first response that comes to your mind within seconds? Can you think of multiple answers within seconds or just one...or two? Do you say in response, "Good and you?" But do you give that answer every time someone asks you "How are you?" The key to being a well versed English speaker is having multiple options of things to say without really needing to think a lot about it. You could also respond with... "I'm fine. Thanks for asking." "I'm doing alright." "I'm having a rough time lately." "I'm doin good." "Not bad." Because being repetitive or 'limited' in your English speaking skills is one thing that can quite easily be improved. Just by simply learning more phrases. And knowing them well enough that you can say them confidently and naturally without thinking.
