Hello! I'm Hoyeon. I live on Geoje Island in South Korea. I used to work as a software engineer, and now I work as a Korean tutor. Language learning has always been one of my hobbies. Because of that interest, and for a few different reasons along the way, I eventually started teaching Korean. When we learn a language, I don't think we are creating something completely new. Most of the time, we are recalling and reusing phrases or sentences we have heard or used before. That's why I focus on repetition. My job is to find ways to make that repetition effective without making it boring. Each student receives homework tailored to their needs, including high-quality personalized audio recordings. With this homework, students can practice reading, writing, and listening together. We can choose a reference textbook if needed, but it is not required. <Attendance Policy> • No-show: No refund. • Last-minute cancellation: If you cancel within 6 hours of the lesson, 50% of the lesson fee will be charged. • If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please do so directly through the italki system. There is no need to wait for my confirmation, and doing so promptly helps avoid missing the cancellation window. • In most cases, I will accept rescheduling or cancellation requests made at least 6 hours before the lesson. • Please be considerate when making changes to your schedule. Frequent last-minute changes make it difficult for other students to book available lesson times.

I have many advantages as a tutor: positive personality, open mind, interests in other cultures, passion, and so on. But here, I want to emphasize two things. First, I've learned English and German conversation with online tutoring.
