Seit Jahren bin ich als Lehrkraft im Bereich Kunst aktiv und leite eine Private Kunstakademie. Ich gebe seit meinem Studienabschluss (Meisterschülerin) als Malerin entsprechenden Unterricht und war auch Dozentin an einer Kunsthochschule in Norddeutschland. My experience in teaching comes through my work in the field of art. I'm running a private Art Academy. Since finishing my university degree in the art of painting I'm giving classes in that field. I also used to work for an art school (university) in Northern Germany.

In the words of Joseph Campbell, we human beings do best when we "follow our bliss." Throughout my adult life, teaching, and particularly teaching German, has been my bliss. I was fortunate to recognize teaching as my vocation when I was in college, and l had excellent training in language pedagogy when I was accepted as a teaching assistant at Ohio State's graduate program. I am at my happiest and most fulfilled when I am teaching a language class, whether face to face or online (a modality in which I became proficient during the Covid epidemic). For years I have had excellent teaching evaluations from my students, whether in the classroom or in one on one tutoring.

My main goal as a teacher is to motivate learners, and provide them with knowledge for their specific needs. My approach to classes can be very flexible. I am happy to have fun conversations - I love hearing about people's passions and interests, and I have lots of stories from my own life to share. I enjoy teaching learners of all ages, but prefer not to teach children younger than 12.
