14+ years experience in distance teaching and learning Since 2010, I constantly learn together with conversation partners in various languages. From this experience, I have gained ideas how language learning through conversation and via the internet is fun and efficient. My professional background is in education, but not in languages but in technical domains. As someone who used to stutter and dislike languages (and especially the pesky grammar), getting into intense-self-studies to improve my English became my origin story. I worked as teacher for English in my hometown for 2 years afterward, after acquiring a C2 certificate from Cambridge. This encouraged me to also intensely study and re-fresh the German grammar, phonetics and teaching techniques (didactic) before starting to teach it online full-time. (it included a lot of head-shaking, and I’m a native) Through that, and my pursuit to master art I don’t believe in inherited talent, but pursued interest.
