Grammar is important, but it's a tool — not the goal. The goal is that you can speak German. Redewendungen work on a metacognitive level, meaning you'll use them automatically, without thinking. All aspects of language learning are covered: reading, writing, listening, speaking, pronunciation, sentence melody, and intonation.
