Während meines Studiums in Russland habe mehrmals Praktika in staatlichen Schulen und in einem Kinderferienlager absolviert. Nebenan habe ich einige Jahre in Sprachschulen und als Privatlehrerin gearbeitet. Ich habe viele Erfahrungen mit verschiedenen Altersgruppen gesammelt. Heute studiere ich an der LMU in München an der Fakultät für Sprach- und Literaturwissenschaften im Studiengang Deutsch als Fremdsprache, um meine Kenntnisse im Lehrbereich weiter zu vertiefen.

I’m an organized, patient, kind, and caring teacher who helps beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners improve their writing, grammar, and speaking skills. Besides German, I also speak English, French, and Polish, which makes it easy for me to communicate with students from all around the world. Over the years, I’ve taught German to elementary, primary, and secondary school students. This experience has helped me develop a strong understanding of how learners progress at different language levels. I believe every student learns differently, which is why I focus on identifying individual learning needs and creating a personalized learning environment for each student.

Speaking is the best way to learn a language, so my lessons usually center around having an actual conversation in German, but I will also give you grammar instructions and help you with pronunciation as and when necessary. If you struggle with any particular grammar topic, we can of course also dedicate a whole lesson to that. Generally I'm happy to adapt myself to your needs and preferences. While we talk, I make extensive notes in a google document, I write down new vocabulary with example sentences, grammar instructions, corrections, etc. You'll have access to this document during and after the classes.

As your tutor I will help you: 1. to feel comfortable in everyday conversations in German. 2. to maintain motivation and to enjoy the process of acquiring a new language. 3. to become "your own best teacher" so you can make the most of learning on your own. I see value in a lot of different methods of language learning. However, the best method is useless if you lose motivation halfway, and even with a less efficient method you can be successful in learning a language if you have fun doing it. That is why I am convinced that maintaining passion and motivation should be on top of our priority list.

My goal as a teacher is that you get the most out of the class. How do I want to achieve that? 1) Create a comfortable atmosphere: You have to be relaxed and feel comfortable in order to learn. I will try to create a very comfortable atmosphere so you can concentrate on the lesson. 2) Teaching a fun class: The class should be fun and interesting, that’s when we get the best results. I would love to know about topics that interest you and consider them in my preparation of the class. 3) Speak as much German as possible: You have to get used to the structure, the sound and the rhythm of the language. That's why I want to encourage you that we speak as much German as possible during the class.

I have been teaching German and English for some time and we can adapt each lessons to your individual language skills to make the best out of our time together. BEGINNERS: We will use the excellent DEUTSCHFUCHS learning platform to together solve interactive exercises and learn everyday vocabulary as well as grammar in easy steps. You will gain free round the clock access to your materials. ADVANCED STUDENTS: We will expand your vocabulary by talking/writing about everyday topics or specific issues of your choice, or by discussing short articles that we read before the lesson. EXAM/INTERVIEW PREP: We will be doing official practice exams together or prepare for and hold mock job interviews. Since my lessons are tailored to the needs of individual students, the clearer your idea of what you want to achieve in what timeframe is, the better :)
