With certification from the University of Venice, I'm a CEDILS holder and a CILS examiner. I earned a Master's in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language from the University of Insubria. I'm also qualified in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and have a TESOL certificate. My experience and passion set me apart, and my students are thrilled with their speedy progress under my guidance.

As an English conversation and vocabulary tutor, I like to use current events, social issues, articles, tv shows, videos, podcasts and role-playing throughout my lessons to push conversations forward and do a lot of reading. I am a qualified English teacher but I have later specialised in teaching Italian as a second language and after years working in private K-12/language schools in Istanbul I have started a freelance adventure. Avendo insegnato a studenti da poco arrivati in Italia (bambini, ragazzi e adulti) e avendo io stessa imparato delle lingue straniere, ho sperimentato che è parlando, leggendo, scrivendo e anche giocando che si apprende più velocemente. So, però, che per parlare correttamente anche la grammatica e la sintassi sono molto importanti e, visto che in italiano sono molto complesse e ci sono moltissime regole, mi piace affrontarle partendo dalla conversazione, da letture e da video. Imparare dev'essere divertente e appassionante... altrimenti dopo un po' si perde la motivazione.

My teaching style is based on communication. We discuss together goals, frequency, duration and contents. I shape my lessons to the level and the requirements of each person, in order to make the learning process quick, deep and, at the same time, interesting and fun. I love talking about different topics and sharing opinions. I always try to create a relax atmosphere in which you can feel comfortable.

My goal is to make each student confident in their ability to learn languages. I let my students explore both traditional and untraditional methods and support them along their language learning journey with patience and enthusiasm. Moreover, I will provide you with my notes and suggestions on how to improve after each class! I have experience in teaching and tutoring language students of all ages and backgrounds. Every language level is welcome, from beginner to advanced.

I like to create an informal environment, I want my students to feel comfortable and free to talk and also to make mistakes, because I think that's the best way to learn a language. I love my first language and I will try to share this love with my students also by teaching them idioms, that are very helpful when it's time to talk to native speakers.
