これはおかしな文です。”せめて”は at least なので『at least 8000円ぐらい』
英語にすると、The products in this store cost at least 8,000 yen.でOKかな？と思いますが、まちがいです。
”せめて”は「お願い」や「～てほしい」「ルール」などの時に使います。
"At least" is used in situations expressing "request",  "desire,wish, hope" or “ rule”.


・お願い
A：今日は食べ物全部売り切れました。
B：え！？せめて小さいオニギリでもないですか...？

・～てほしい（そうなったらいいなぁ）
A：今日のバスケットボールの試合、全然スタートメンバーがいないな。
B：ああ、せめて山田がいたらいいんだけど... 

・ルール
A：800円持って行ったけど、何も食べられなかったよ。
B：あのレストランに行くんだったら、せめて1500円は持って行かないといけないよ。


事実（じじつ）の事で”せめて”は使えません。
"You can't use 'at least' for matters of fact."

〇この店は安い物で1000円の商品があります。
〇この店で一番安い商品は1000円ぐらいです。
〇この店の商品は最低（さいてい）でも1000円はします。

カンパネラは しばらく聴きいった あと、「すばらしい音色だね」と ニコリと笑って、
指でピースサインを つくりました。
「それなあに？」
「しらないのかい？ 空中帝国に住む人間は、うれしいことがあったら、
　こうやって指を２本立てて、うれしさを表現するんだ」
ヨナヨナは、「こうかしら？」と カンパネラをまねて、ピースサインをつくりました。

「アンモナイトのオルゴールは、とてもやさしい音色だね。『森』に住む人たちの暮らしが
　目に浮かんでくる。空中帝国には こんなすばらしい音色はないよ」
「気に入ってもらえてうれしいわ。じゃあ、これはカンパネラにあげる」
ヨナヨナは アンモナイトのオルゴールを さしだしました。
「森のおみやげに どうぞ」
ヨナヨナはニコリと笑って、またピースサインを つくりました。

今天想和大家聊一聊【中国的学校】。
每个国家的教育制度都不太一样，今天我给大家介绍一下中国的情况。小孩子3岁可以开始上幼儿园，3-4岁是小班,4-5岁是中班,5-6岁是大班,6-7岁可以上小学。小学一共六年，小学一年级到六年级。中学包括初中和高中，都是3年，初一、初二、初三，高一、高二和高三。高三有一个很重要的考试，叫做高考。高考的成绩会决定你去上哪一个大学，读什么专业。考上清华北大，也就是清华大学和北京大学是每一个学生的梦想。
那每个学生高考都考一样的试卷吗？教育部会准备几套试卷给每个省选，有一些省会自己出试卷。除了普通的考生，还有一种考生叫高考特长生。他们一般有艺术或者体育的特长，高考分数的要求会低一些。中国的大学分本科和专科，本科一般读四年，专科读三年，一些特别的专业，例如医学专业需要五年。
那是每个中国孩子都能从幼儿园读到大学吗？不是的。在中国现在是九年义务教育，也就是小学六年和初中三年所有学生可以免费上。初中结束的时候有中考，中考的成绩决定你能不能考上高中。一般来说，如果你在好的高中读书，你的高考成绩会更好，更有机会考上好的大学，所以很多家长在初中开始就对孩子的学习成绩很着急。
你可能会问，如果考不上高中，应该怎么办呢？有的学生会选择复读，也就是再读一年初三，再参加一次中考；有的学生选择上职业学校。家庭条件好的学生可能选择出国留学，条件不好的学生只能直接工作。
中国的学校有两个学期，第一学期一般是9月1号开学，12月底开始放寒假；第二学期是2月开学，7月开始放暑假。具体开学和放假的日期每个学校会不太一样。
