A quiet place: the silence that sounds brutal

Released in 2018 and brilliantly directed by John Krasinski, “A quiet place” is such a terrifying suspenseful thriller, that totally catch the audience with its immersive and intelligent story.

The plot is about a family trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world with blind creatures called “predators” that can kill people, searching and founding they by almost any kind of noises and sounds that they MUSTN’T make to survive.

Beyond all the adaptations to do not make sounds, one that calls attention it's the way that the family communicates with each other. They use the ASL (American sign language). Although, how they learned this sort of communication after this apocalypse, you may ask. The answer is simple, they had learned before, that's because this family has a deaf daughter.

As the fathers of this family, we have John Krasinski itself and his real-life wife, Emily Blunt. A curiosity is the actress Millicent Simmonds, who plays their deaf daughter, have this same condition on real-life.

Although the “quiet” on the title, the soundtrack is very impressive, as same as the special effects. My opinion is that everyone MUST watch this film, I can see it as a cult/classical in the future.

Not convinced yet? Ok, here a little spoiler: In the story, a baby is on the way so… imagine having a birth without make any sounds.

Ps: The predators are hearing us, be quiet.

I really liked this film too. Usually I don't like scary films, but this was more of a thriller than a horror. I liked that it doesn't use jump scares to scare you, and instead aims to build the tension.
