Environmental awareness - A problem-solution essay.

"Save our planet", "Go Green", "Think Green" these and other slogans are well-known to everyone. But not everyone wants to spend time thinking about them.
But numbers say it all. Eighty percent - that's the number of virgin forests which were destroyed in the 20th century. More than fifty percent of rivers are polluted. Plastic rubbish claim 1 million birds, a 100 thousand (one hundred thousand, or, 100,000) sea mammals and an enormous amount of fishes every year. And This represents a very big, and still growing, problem.

One of the leading causes of air pollution are the motor vehicle and aircraft emissions. Fumes from paint, hair spray and other sprays may also make the air affected. Due to industrial and radioactive waste, oil pollution, underground storage leakages or marine dumping the water is polluted.

Pollutions are harmful to the health of humans and animals. They can affect the health in short and long-term effects.

There are a number of possible solutions. People could make a lot to fight against enviromental pollution, for example reduce electricity and water usage.
