Reading Report of The Little Prince I am deeply touched after reading The Little Prince which is not only a children’s literary work, but a fairy tale written for the adult. The whole novel is full of poetic melancholy and gentle sorrow. The writer of The Little Prince is Antoine de Saint-Exupeny, who met the little prince in the Sahara desert because of the air craft. Antoine got to know the little prince in the conversation and at last, even became the witness of his death. In the story, the little prince is innocent and curious, insists on getting to the bottom of the matter; he is dolorous, likes to sit silent and enjoy the sunset. One day, he leaves his lovingness stars and rose for a long lonely voyage because of a mistake. The little prince successively go to six planets and meet a king addicted to power, a vain person believes he himself is the best guy in the planet, a businessman continues counting stars for years even have no time to look up, an absurd drunkard, a lamplighter keep on the rails but aimless and a geography separate himself from reality. These characters are typical and vivid portrayal in the adult world of real society. For example, the drunkard is a paradox who drinks to forget his shame while ashamed of drinking. Just as what people always do—make self-introspection and self-punishment to give a hand to them to hell rather than find a way to change and running themselves continually on the basis of contradictions. The last planet the little prince reached is the earth where he meets a fox. The fox is a symbol of wise man who knows the meaning of life and summary the true meaning of love and responsibility directly to make the little prince know “domesticate” and his inside pursuit of love. So after realizing could not go back, he have been wandering and missing. Finally, the pure and brittle little prince ends his life without crying out, falls gently, the way a tree falls, and there is no sound because of the sand. He believes by that way he can throw off his ponderous and flies back to his rose as soon as possible. After reading this story, I learn that: The eyes are blind one must look with the heart….
